Our Terrestrial Ecology Services

Biodiversity Assessment Reports(BDARs, BSSARs, BCARs)

We have accredited assessors for the implementation of the Biodiversity Assessment Method (BAM) and the preparation of Biodiversity Assessment Reports in line with NSW Biodiversity Offsets Scheme requirements under the Biodiversity Conservation Act. Our assessments clearly outline ecological values, potential impacts and offsetting requirements for projects across NSW, including the Central Coast, Hunter, and Greater Sydney regions.

Review of Environmental Factors (REF)

Our REF assessments under Part 5 of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act (EP&A Act), evaluate potential environmental impacts for government agencies undertaking infrastructure or utility projects, ensuring compliance with legislative requirements while protecting sensitive habitats throughout NSW, including the Central Coast, Hunter, and Greater Sydney.

Biodiversity Assessments & Threatened Flora & Fauna Surveys

We conduct thorough biodiversity assessments to identify threatened flora and fauna species, their habitats, and ecological communities, helping guide developers and private property owners through planning approvals and conservation strategies at sites throughout NSW, including the Central Coast, Hunter, and Greater Sydney areas. Assessments include Assessment of Significance of Impact (5-part test) under the Biodiversity Conservation Act, and Assessment of Significance on Matters of National Environmental Significance (MNES) under the Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act.

Vegetation Mapping

Using advanced Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and field survey methods, we deliver accurate vegetation mapping to assist in site planning, habitat management, and conservation efforts throughout NSW, including the Central Coast, Hunter, and Greater Sydney.

Management Plans

We develop practical environmental management plans for habitat restoration, vegetation retention, and ecological monitoring, supporting sustainable land use across NSW, including the Central Coast, Hunter, and Greater Sydney.

Habitat Augmentation

We design and implement habitat augmentation projects, including nest box installation and monitoring, to support wildlife conservation across the Central Coast, Hunter, and Greater Sydney.

Pre-Clearing Surveys

Before land clearing, we conduct surveys to identify and safely relocate fauna, including direct inspection of tree hollows using spikeless tree climbing techniques, across NSW including the Central Coast, Hunter, and Greater Sydney.

Post-Development Ecological Monitoring

We track the effectiveness of biodiversity management measures post-construction, ensuring compliance, identifying emerging risks, and supporting habitat health across sites in NSW, including the Central Coast, Hunter, and Greater Sydney.
